Remnants of Squid

Yesterday the exhibit we had up at Ground Floor Theatre finally came down; this is the one by artists with autism that I’d worked with Dr. Becker to get up for the November 19th show.

He’d been going back to the gallery on a regular basis before other performances the past 5 or 6 weeks to talk to audience members about the art and the artists themselves and says he had a lot of great conversations.

He’s taking the art to a new location in Lakeway and sent me some dates:

I will have another major exhibition for the entire month of February at the Lakeway Community Library.

On Feb 3 and Feb 7th Kimberly Dixon from Round Rock will be there.

Feb 7th is the opening reception.  On Feb 20 Grant Manier from Houston is scheduled to be present.

Grant and Kimberly will both have pieces in the exhibit, I believe.  I’m gonna try to make it at least once out there.

The good doctor also tells me that he’s aware of a new Omega 3 supplement that doesn’t use fish oil, but instead uses… calamari.

So there’s that.  I love how these little productions have tails to them and elements that continue on in one way or another.  Like a lingering memory…

Like the shadow of a squid in the moonlight making ripples in the sea…

(cough)

See ya in February!
