14/48 Austin 2016: Night two

Curtain call on Night One; new theme picked from audience submissions

12:08am: Falling down on the job a bit.  Enjoyed Night One.

On fumes now for Night Two.

Theme: Mistaken Identity (I like it)

I’ve got three women in my cast.

Current approach: Duck, Duck, Goose.  Two ducks, one goose.  One of the ducks who’s a Mallard is mistaken for a Layson Teal (I know!), one of the more endangered ducks.  Chaos ensues.

Type it up, yo!

1:08am: “the lights start to flash and the foul start to funk.”

That may be the favorite stage direction I’ve ever written.

6:00am: I’m up, tightening it, more cognizant, think it’s good…

Got a few hours of sleep.  Could be worse.

POST-PRODUCTION: Wow, that went so well!  So happy with it, smiling the entire show.  These ladies KILLED it.

Noah the director and I are talking about remounting it for FronteraFest.  Could it work in that venue?  Mull it over!
