Technology is Hard at the Marsh Nov 9 & 23

Excited and grateful that The Marsh in San Francisco has asked me to come back for a third time for their Monday Night Marsh program. I’ll be doing a piece about some awkward moments between my dad and me.

Nov 9th and 23rd.

The variety in this lineup is off the charts!

This is an updated version of a story I’ve told a few times in the past, including at Testify, Austin Bat Cave, the Vancouver Story Slam, and ScriptWorks Solos. This one has special resonance, though, because I get to tell it in the place that inspired it! Here’s how it’s described on the Marsh’s site:

Returning to the scene of the crime, Max recounts the night he and his father attended a sold-out show at the Marsh and committed theater’s greatest sin: letting a cellphone ring with zero idea how to turn it off. It’s every audience member’s nightmare (and every performer’s too)—and feels significantly funnier now that it’s behind him.

Really looking forward to it!
