My kids and I unearthed this game after a completely unrelated discussion about expectations and contractual versus verbal agreements (it’s a long story which stretched the limits of what I know about the law).
Anyway, this is my earliest official publication byline (March, 1985). And it was in the NUMBER ONE ATARI COMPUTER MAGAZINE IN THE WORLD! Whoa!! (I know, I know…)
This was in the day when they actually printed the pages and pages of computer code in the magazine so if you wanted to play the game, you had to type all that nauseating, repetitive crap in while your eyes bled.
Still, there’s this…
Max Langert, 13, lives in Oakland and may well be the youngest game programmer Antic ever published.*
Yeah, 1985, suck it!
(I don’t know why I’m saying suck it; that certainly isn’t for you, dear reader)
((Oh my God, player-missile graphics; remember those? I know; me too!))
*and it was all downhill from there…
