Liveblogging 1448_Austin Night #1

I got my badge, we got the theme, my play goes up in the #1 slot tomorrow night at 7:30 and 10.

How’s it going so far?

Goal is to get to sleep at a reasonable-ish hour if at all possible.

10pm

• Characters are Jen, Karla and Ronald/Monster
• 2 draft pages written

Keep it up…

11pm

• Kids’ lunches made
• Braces cleaned
• Fiona Apple, System of a Down and Sara Bareilles playing in background (need new music)
• One more page written
• Ronald is now Lyle
• Struggling a bit with central conflict…

12am

• Crap, totally slowing down
• Not sure what I’m doing
• Is this gonna work?
• Karla is now Candace; not sure why
• Jen might turn into somebody else too
• Missing something…

1am

• Okay, the whole thing is silly
• But maybe I shouldn’t expect too much in such a short time
• There’s a monster, a prison guard and two prison escapees
• But/and it’s pretty dopey
• Maybe I’ll take a nap now and check it out a little later, yeah?

• Oh yeah, and I need a title.  How about… Monster Seduction?  Or Escapee Seduction?  Or Together on the Lam? Or…  (I got nothin’) (Sleep on it)

• Okay, piece delivered
• Titled The Last Seduction
• Bridget is going to direct it, no idea who’ll act in it
• Will find out tonight how it is
